On the afternoon of May 30, the final of the high school boys’ division in the 11th Nanning “Qianli Cup” Campus Football Tournament for 2026 officially kicked off at the Nanning City Stadium. Throughout the match, both sides remained evenly matched, with intense back-and-forth play and a hard-fought battle that went down to the wire.
Throughout the regulation 90 minutes, our team’s players fought valiantly, pressing forward on offense and defending with all their might. Even as the match drew to a close and they trailed by one goal, not a single player faltered or gave up. In the dying moments of stoppage time, second-year student Dai Kewei rose to the occasion, calmly slotting home the equalizer and forcing the game into a penalty shootout.
In the ensuing penalty shootout, the team rallied together and, thanks to our goalkeeper’s tenacious saves, edged out their opponents 8–7 on aggregate, clinching the Nanning City “Qianli Cup” championship once again and securing an impressive six‑year consecutive title.
Behind this hard-earned championship lies the team’s months of relentless, unwavering training, as well as their overcoming of numerous challenges. Battling through injuries and slumps with sheer determination, It is the glory of bringing honor to the school by fighting until the very last second of every match.
