A Hundred-Day Oath-Taking Ceremony: Pursuing Our Dreams in the College Entrance Exam— Speeches by the principal, teachers, students, and parent representatives

Principal Yang Zhenyi began with a speech titled “A 100-Day Oath: Chasing Our Dreams in the College Entrance Exam.” His address was passionately inspiring and deeply moving, urging the senior students to hold their dreams close and to persevere with unwavering effort.

Teacher He Lili, on behalf of all the senior‑year teachers, solemnly pledges to stand firmly alongside our students, serving as their steadfast support and ensuring a successful journey toward the college entrance examination.

“On the occasion of our motherland’s 70th anniversary, we look forward to, in the days ahead, advancing steadily, sowing hope, and striving toward our dreams, thus presenting a unique gift to our great nation…” Deng Bin, a student representative from Class 1, Grade 12 (Science), issued a rallying cry: “Let us fight with all our might over the next hundred days, forge ahead with determination, create brilliance together, and strive for our dreams—so that our youth will be without regret.”

“My child, I’m so sorry for not having cared for you as fully as I should have in the past. In the days ahead, we will stand by your side, showering you with all our love, so that you can move forward bravely, free from any worry or hesitation!” The heartfelt remarks delivered by Liu Xuan’s parent, from Class 1 of Senior Year Three, deeply touched the students.

Recalling the arduous years, may we set sail for a hundred days— Speech by Chairman Huang Can

It is exceedingly rare in Guangxi for a doctoral graduate to serve as a secondary school principal—such is Mr. Huang Can, the chairman of our university, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies. With heartfelt nostalgia, Chairman Huang recounted his own arduous academic journey, urging students not to be deterred by adversity, to remain steadfast in their commitment to learning, and to study with diligence. He expressed his hope that, one hundred days from now, they would set sail on the path of the college entrance examination.

United as one, with a thousand sails racing forward— Teachers and students from each class took an oath and signed their names.

All the teachers of the senior year issued a resolute and powerful pledge: “Rest assured—cherishing these hundred days is our vow without regret; striving with all our might for these hundred days is our solemn commitment. We are ready to safeguard our students, to relieve parents of their worries, and to give our very best for the school. We will surely: seize the crown of the college entrance exam and create new glories!” With unwavering, steely gazes, the senior‑year faculty conveyed their unshakable dedication, and with thunderous vows they expressed their profound confidence—vows that reverberated through the air, their conviction plain to see.

Students from each class took their oaths in turn, their passionate shouts and resolute vows carrying a warm yet unwavering strength: “We will fight for one hundred days and soar to the skies!” With hearts full of devotion and solemnity, the senior‑year students voiced their youthful aspirations and pledged their resolve to take on the challenge. Each stirring oath echoed across the campus, and every clenched fist brimmed with untapped power—this was not merely a pledge for the college entrance exam; it was a vow of youth itself!

Upon completing the oath, the students solemnly signed their names on the bright red banner.

Nurture your aspirations and soar; build your dreams for the college entrance exam— Yanzhiyuan Entrance Ceremony

Chairman Huang Can solemnly presented the “Victory in the Gaokao” banner to Principal Yang, who raised it and led all the school leaders, along with the senior‑year teachers and students, marching with spirited steps toward Yangzhi Garden. Passing through Qingbei Avenue and crossing Sanming Square, the junior‑year and sophomore‑year students cheered on their seniors with rousing, impassioned chants that soared skyward, reaching straight into the hearts of every third‑year student. The teachers marched with resolute strides, while the students brimmed with boundless enthusiasm. The music sounded like a clarion call; the examination hall was a battlefield, and the war drums urged the horses forward at a gallop. From this moment, the stirring melody of the senior‑year battle grew even more fervent and uplifting.

“Three, two, one—unveil!” Chairman Huang and the school’s leadership pulled back the curtain on the 100-day countdown board for the college entrance exam. Gazing at the milestone sign, the students were filled with profound emotion, vowing to transform their excitement into unwavering motivation and devote themselves to their studies with boundless enthusiasm.

The gentle drizzle cannot dampen everyone’s enthusiasm, nor can the lingering chill of early spring quell their passion. The 100‑day pledge ceremony is a battle hymn before the march, inspiring all teachers and students of Grade 12 to fight tenaciously and forge ahead with courage. Starlight asks not of those who press on; time rewards those who are true to their hearts. In a hundred days, the senior students of Guangwai Affiliated High School will surely “hoist their sails high and cross the vast sea”!
