The Press Conference for the 2019 Guangxi Big Health Industry Summit Was Held.


The theme of this year’s summit is “Pooling Forces for the Development of the Greater Health Industry and Jointly Building a Splendid Guangxi.” The main events include the summit opening ceremony, the 2019 China–ASEAN International Forum on Traditional Medicine and Health Tourism, the 2019 Guangxi Yabuli Greater Health Industry Forum, and the 2019 China (Guangxi) Longevity Industry Development Forum. The schedule is as follows: the summit opening ceremony will be held in Nanning on the morning of November 8; in the afternoon of the same day, the Yabuli Greater Health Forum and the Longevity Industry Forum will take place concurrently in Nanning; and on November 9, the Bama Forum will be convened in Bama Yao Autonomous County, Hechi City.
 
Among the organizers of the summit’s opening ceremony are the Central Committee of the China Association for Promoting Democracy, the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and the People’s Government of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. The implementing agencies include the United Front Work Department of the Autonomous Region Party Committee, the Civil Affairs Department, and the Investment Promotion Bureau, while supporting organizations comprise the Secretariat of the Yabuli China Entrepreneurs Forum, the Secretariat of the Chinese Society of Gerontology and Geriatrics, and Guangxi Investment Group Co., Ltd., among others. The opening ceremony will welcome leading officials, along with more than 800 renowned domestic and international experts, scholars, entrepreneurs, and government representatives in the greater health sector, who will engage in high-level dialogue and interactive discussions on the development of the greater health industry in the new era. Several distinguished guests are scheduled to deliver keynote addresses, and Secretary Lu Xinshe and Chairman Chen Wu will also address the audience at the opening. In addition, the ceremony will feature a signing session for major projects in Guangxi’s greater health industry.
 
The Yabuli Forum on Greater Health is organized by the Yabuli China Entrepreneurs Forum. The Longevity Industry Forum is co‑hosted by the People’s Government of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and the Chinese Society of Gerontology and Geriatrics, with the Secretariat of the Chinese Society of Gerontology and Geriatrics, the Autonomous Region’s Department of Civil Affairs, and the Health Commission serving as the implementing agencies. The Bama Forum is jointly hosted by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and the People’s Government of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, with the Autonomous Region’s Department of Culture and Tourism, the Health Commission, and the Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, along with the People’s Government of Hechi City, Guangxi Tourism Development Group Co., Ltd., and the People’s Government of Bama Yao Autonomous County, assuming responsibility for its organization.
 
The Autonomous Region Party Committee and Government attach great importance to hosting this summit and have established a dedicated Summit Organizing Committee. Xu Shaochuan, Member of the Standing Committee of the Autonomous Region Party Committee and Head of the United Front Work Department, serves as the Committee’s Director; Vice Chairmen Li Bin, Huang Junhua, and Yang Jinbo serve as Deputy Directors; and heads of relevant departments and units comprise the Committee’s members. The Organizing Committee has an office located within the Autonomous Region Civil Affairs Department, with me serving as its Director. The Deputy Directors are Xiong Chunhan, Deputy Minister of the United Front Work Department of the Autonomous Region Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of the Regional Federation of Industry and Commerce, and Director of the Regional Non‑Public Sector Office, and Yang Chunting, Director of the Regional Investment Promotion Bureau and Director of the Regional Economic and Technological Cooperation Office. In addition, the Organizing Committee’s office has set up eight specialized working groups, each responsible for specific aspects of the summit’s preparations. At present, all preparatory work is progressing actively and in an orderly manner, with solid progress. We will pool wisdom and unite efforts, aiming to position the summit as “first‑class domestically and world‑renowned,” and strive to make it a major event of significant influence in the health industry.
