Guangxi has introduced a series of policies to accelerate the development of the New Western Land-Sea Corridor.

To implement the “Overall Plan for the New Western Land-Sea Corridor” issued by the National Development and Reform Commission, and in accordance with the Implementation Plan and Task List for Guangxi’s development of the New Western Land-Sea Corridor, Guangxi has recently successively released a series of supporting documents. These measures are designed to strengthen the top-level design and policy framework for Guangxi’s implementation of the national overall plan, thereby accelerating the construction of the New Western Land-Sea Corridor.

The accompanying documents include the “Several Policy Measures for Financial Support of the Construction of the New Western Land-Sea Corridor,” the “Revised Several Policy Measures for Accelerating the Construction of the New Western Land-Sea Corridor in Guangxi,” as well as the “Implementation Plan for Enhancing Operations on the Main Sea-Rail Intermodal Route of the New Western Land-Sea Corridor in Guangxi (2019–2020),” among other policy measures and implementation plans.

A relevant official from the Development and Reform Commission of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region stated that Guangxi will, in line with the objectives and priorities outlined in the Overall Plan for the New Western Land-Sea Corridor, accelerate the development of both hardware and software infrastructure at the Beibu Gulf ports, advance the construction of high-capacity railway corridors, promote the integrated development of corridor infrastructure and industries, expedite the establishment of a modern logistics system along the corridor, and enhance the business environment and operational efficiency. These measures are intended to ensure that all tasks and initiatives related to the New Western Land-Sea Corridor are effectively implemented and yield tangible results.
