As an educator, one should first and foremost possess noble character, a strong sense of social responsibility, and a rigorous scholarly attitude. One must strive to set a positive example for students, holding oneself to such standards as intellectual progress, moral integrity, lawfulness, consistency between words and deeds, leading by personal conduct, and strict self-discipline. Teaching is a vocation that shapes the human spirit and nurtures individuals. As the motto goes: “Those who educate others must first cultivate themselves—this is wisdom; those who guide others must first rectify themselves—this is virtue; only those who combine wisdom and virtue can truly be teachers.”
