At 4:10 p.m. on May 9, the Primary School Division held a training session titled “Curriculum Reform Based on Green and Engaging Classroom Teaching—Focus on Classroom Routines.” All primary school teachers attended, and the keynote speaker was Liang Zurong, Vice Principal of the main campus.

At the outset of the meeting, Liang Zhurong addressed the reform of the “Green Fun‑Driven Classroom,” emphasizing that the cornerstone of this reform lies in classroom routines. He issued clear directives, urging teachers to thoughtfully reflect on classroom teaching “models.” He further noted that in the pursuit of effective instruction, there is no need to obsess over “modeling” or “coloring” practices, nor is it necessary to cast doubt on educational reform by fixating on issues of “modeling.”

Principal Liang Zurong pointed out: “Why should we attach great importance to classroom teaching? First, classroom instruction is the central focus of school work. Second, it is the primary channel for fostering moral character and cultivating well-rounded individuals. Third, improving the quality of education requires a strong emphasis on classroom teaching. The classroom can be regarded as the main battlefield for moral education and character development; classroom instruction, in turn, serves as the principal avenue for advancing quality-oriented education and nurturing students’ moral integrity. Raising academic standards in line with core competencies must be achieved through the very process of classroom teaching.”

During the interactive session, participants eagerly shared their thoughts, and the teachers voiced their concerns about the challenges currently faced in implementing Green Fun‑Movement classroom instruction. In response to these various issues, Principal Liang Zhurong provided thorough explanations one by one.
Finally, Principal Liang Zurong concluded the meeting: The discussion at this symposium on the reform of the “Green and Fun Active Classroom” has highlighted that the Primary School faces numerous issues that require collaborative deliberation and resolution. Principal Liang expressed his hope that, with everyone’s collective efforts, the Green and Fun Active Classroom reform will continue to improve and flourish.
