To enhance the professional competence of our school’s teachers, advance the development of our green classroom reform, and elevate the overall quality of our teaching and learning, our school held a thematic training session titled “Strategies and Principles for Building Collaborative Learning Groups in Green Classroom Instruction” at 4:00 p.m. on November 1st, in the school’s auditorium.

The meeting was presented by Luo Zhousheng, Vice Principal of the main campus, and was attended by Vice Principal Liang Qiyu of the main campus and all faculty members from each academic division. Participants gathered to discuss issues related to the school’s educational reform.

In the first part of the meeting, Vice Principal Luo Zhousheng elaborated on several pedagogical principles, including that “a green classroom is grounded in cooperative learning” and that “learning groups are the fundamental cornerstone of cooperative learning.” He also underscored the importance of group-based cooperative learning, noting that it aligns with the nation’s educational priorities in the new era and represents the direction of contemporary teaching reform.
Next, Vice Principal Luo Zhousheng provided a detailed explanation of the strategies and principles for establishing cooperative learning groups.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Vice Principal Luo Zhousheng emphasized that the small-group cooperative learning model can most effectively stimulate students’ enthusiasm for classroom participation and best embodies the student-centered educational principle of “putting students first.” He also noted that as long as we adhere to the formula “strict, standardized management plus classroom teaching reform equals success for everyone,” we will achieve our goals.
Through this training, teachers have reached a shared understanding of cooperative learning in small groups and have gained a preliminary grasp of the strategies and principles for building such groups. With this solid theoretical foundation for green classroom reform, teachers are now brimming with confidence; they no longer harbor doubts about group‑building. By rigorously applying these strategies, conducting thorough research, and committing to diligent implementation, our school’s classroom‑teaching reform will surely advance to new heights, and the quality of education and instruction will continue to improve steadily and sustainably. Our school’s “green classroom tree” will thus flourish, its branches lush and its leaves verdant, radiating the boundless vitality of classroom reform.
